Bazingga⚡ Privacy Policy

Bazingga is built on a simple promise: Fast. Private. Expressive. We collect only what the app needs to work, we never show ads, and we never sell your data.

1. What we collect

Account info: your email address (and phone number if you sign in by SMS), display name, username, optional status and profile photo.
Your content: messages, photos, voice notes, and Moments you create. Moments expire automatically after 24 hours.
App settings: preferences like notifications, wallpapers, and circles, stored on your device and in your account.

We do not collect your contacts list, precise location, or advertising identifiers.

2. How your data is used

To deliver messages, calls, and Moments to the people you choose.
To power optional AI features (see section 4).
To keep the service safe (block and report tools).

3. Where your data lives

Bazingga runs on Supabase (database, authentication, and file storage). All traffic is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS). Access to your data is protected by server-enforced row-level security rules: only chat members can read a chat, and only the audience you pick can see a Moment.

4. AI features

Smart Replies, chat summaries, translation, mood detection, and BazinggaBot are powered by the Google Gemini API. When you use these features, the relevant message text is sent to Google for processing and is subject to Google's privacy policy. AI features are optional — you can ignore or disable them, and nothing is sent when you don't use them.

5. Sharing

We never sell your personal data. We share data only with the service providers above (Supabase, Google Gemini) strictly to run the app, or if required by law.

6. Safety: blocking & reporting

Blocking someone stops them from messaging you — enforced on our servers, not just hidden in your app. You can report a user or a specific message at any time; reports are reviewed by our safety team using a priority system, with child-safety reports handled first. Reporting someone never notifies them.

7. Retention & deletion

Messages you delete "for everyone" are removed for all participants.
Moments are deleted automatically after 24 hours.
You can permanently delete your account and content any time, instantly, in the app: Profile → Delete account. A web-based option is also available at bazingga.app/delete-account if you can't access the app. Deleting your account erases your messages, Moments, profile photo, and status, and permanently revokes access to that account.
Safety reports naming an account may be retained for a legally-required period even after that account is deleted, as required by applicable child-safety and platform-safety law.

8. Age requirement

Bazingga is intended for users 13 and older (18 and older in India). We ask for your date of birth before you can create an account, and we don't let you create one if you're under the required age for your region. We don't collect or store your exact birthday — only whether you cleared the age check.

9. Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and note the new effective date above.
