Effective date: August 21, 2026 · Applies to the Bazingga mobile app
Bazingga is built on a simple promise: Fast. Private. Expressive. We collect only what the app needs to work, we never show ads, and we never sell your data.
We do not collect your contacts list, precise location, or advertising identifiers.
Bazingga runs on Supabase (database, authentication, and file storage). All traffic is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS). Access to your data is protected by server-enforced row-level security rules: only chat members can read a chat, and only the audience you pick can see a Moment.
Smart Replies, chat summaries, translation, mood detection, and BazinggaBot are powered by the Google Gemini API. This section explains exactly what that means for your messages.
What gets sent. When you use one of these features, the relevant message text is sent to Google so it can generate the result. Nothing is sent unless you use an AI feature.
What Google does with it. Bazingga currently uses Google's free Gemini service. Under Google's terms for that service:
We are telling you this plainly because Google's own terms ask developers not to send confidential or personal information to the free service. Please do not use AI features on messages you would not want to be reviewed or used for training.
Your control.
Where AI is switched off completely. AI features are disabled for users in the United Kingdom and the EU/EEA. No message text from those regions is sent to Google.
If this changes. If we move to Google's paid Gemini service, Google will no longer use your messages to train its models and will act only as our data processor. We will update this section and tell you when that happens.
Your use of these features is also subject to Google's privacy policy and the Gemini API terms.
We never sell your personal data. We share data only with the service providers above (Supabase, Google Gemini) strictly to run the app, or if required by law.
Blocking someone stops them from messaging you — enforced on our servers, not just hidden in your app. You can report a user or a specific message at any time; reports are reviewed by our safety team using a priority system, with child-safety reports handled first. Reporting someone never notifies them.
Bazingga is intended for users 13 and older (18 and older in India). We ask for your date of birth before you can create an account, and we don't let you create one if you're under the required age for your region. We don't collect or store your exact birthday — only whether you cleared the age check.
If this policy changes, we will update this page and note the new effective date above.
